SoftProject GmbH from Ettlingen in southern Germany is expanding and founded a branch office in St. Gallen in Switzerland as of 08.04.2021. The goal of SoftProject Digital AG is to further expand international sales of products and services and to continue to drive digitization in Switzerland with the low-code digitization platform X4 Suite as well as industry-specific solutions – for example as SaaS. At the same time, the new subsidiary with its local team strengthens the market position and offers existing and new customers in Switzerland optimal service in close proximity.
“The new company was founded in response to the strong demand for digitization and automation solutions,” says Oliver Kölmel, Managing Director at SoftProject GmbH. “We have already been digitizing utility companies in Switzerland, such as network operators, for over five years.” The focus is on web portals for their customers, clerks and subcontractors, which both simplify and accelerate processes and reduce sources of error due to media disruptions and manual activities. The result is shorter response and throughput times and lower costs. In addition, companies can open up new business areas and provide new products and services immediately and easily.
Existing customers in Switzerland include EDIG AG, Primeo Energie, Regio Energie Solothurn and TBGN Technische Betriebe Glarus Nord. Project and sales partners are Semax AG and VIVAVIS Schweiz AG.
Location in Switzerland ensures even greater customer proximity
SoftProject GmbH previously served the Swiss market from Germany. The spatial proximity through the headquarters in southern Germany benefited the company. “The positive order development, upcoming projects and the planned growth in Switzerland require a next step,” says Uwe Jeschke, Division Manager Industry and Utilities at SoftProject GmbH. “In addition to high-quality and secure products, customers particularly expect qualified, personal consulting and contact persons on site. We are fulfilling this wish with the new location in Switzerland.”
Building up the Swiss team is proceeding rapidly
Since 01.03.2021 Heinz Walter strengthens the team of SoftProject Digital AG. As a contact person for Swiss companies, he advises them as a sales manager and industry expert on digitization opportunities and solutions. Heinz Walter is Exec. MBA Project Management and looks back on over 20 years of experience in the energy industry. In addition to operational activities, he led consulting mandates in the system environment and introduced a wide variety of solutions at customers as a project manager. The expansion of strategic partnerships and the addition of further Swiss colleagues such as technical consultants, software developers and project managers to the team is already in full swing.
